Commissioned work

Get specific evidence-grade work done.

The Foundation accepts research commissions from civic, philanthropic, multilateral and institutional partners. All commissioned work is published openly under our editorial-independence policy — same standard as our self-initiated research.

Five steps. No surprises.

Step 01

Brief intake (free, ~1 week)

You send us a short brief — what you want to know, why, by when. We respond with feasibility, indicative scope and a no-obligation cost band.

Step 02

Scope & agreement (~2 weeks)

We co-design a research plan with explicit research questions, methodology, timeline, deliverables, costs and the publication terms.

Step 03

Fieldwork & analysis (4–24 weeks)

Work runs on the same DemTech infrastructure and methods discipline as our self-initiated research.

Step 04

Findings & review

Findings shared with you in draft. You can comment on accuracy and clarity. You cannot suppress or alter conclusions.

Step 05

Publication

Final outputs published openly with methodology and data. Embargo windows of up to 6 weeks honoured for first-look briefings.

No obligation. Free intake.
